Butterflies on the SmartBoard

The first graders learned about the lifecycle of the butterfly using the interactive SmartBoard.  They did ordering, graphing, and calendar work too.  Impressive first graders!!

Kindergarteners Share!

After reading a digital story of The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, the kindergarteners learned the importance of sharing from the main character.  Then using the Doodle Buddy app on the iPad, they drew the Rainbow Fish while we discussed ways that we can share with each other.  Enjoy their interpretations of the Rainbow Fish!

Listen to the Third Graders!

QR codes are everywhere!  The third graders took them up a notch, by attaching audio to the codes.  Using a free QR Scanner or QR Reader App available on any phone, Kindle Fire, Nook or iPad, you can hear the third graders tell you one very interesting fact about themselves...  Excellent job third grade!

Longmeadow Summer Enrichment!

Lights, Camera, Action!  Fifteen students became filmmakers this week by learning about green screen technology, special effects in iMovie, making movie trailers, and how to film and edit their productions.  They all did an outstanding job and I am so proud of each student!

Below is the green screen movies they made, with each student's name before their film.  Enjoy!

Thank you for all your hard work!  What a blast!!  " )  Mrs. G

Mrs. Giuggio Goes to School!

The Longmeadow Summer Enrichment Program offered a Digital Productions class, taught by Longmeadow alum, Phil Steiger.  Mrs. Dufraine and I took the class, produced four different movies and learned so much to pass on to our students next school year!  Get ready Center School!

This movie was made for a family whose dog, Piper, was our guest over the summer!
