Character Counts! Fifth Grade Leaders of the School

The fifth grade has been learning about six pillars of character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship from the Character Counts curriculum (http://charactercounts.org/sixpillars.html).  To demonstrate their knowledge, they created posters that are on display all over the school.

As leaders this year, the fifth graders are concentrating on becoming stellar role models for their peers and all of the younger students at Center.

Rainbow Fish Come to Kindergarten

The kindergarteners listened to an interactive reading of The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister.  They learned about how the Rainbow Fish became much happier after sharing its shiny scales.  We then talked about why sharing makes us so happy!  Students drew the main character of the story and its friends using the Doodle Buddy app.  Now we're happy to share with you!!
