Mrs. Serafino's second graders are bonafide poets! They wrote their own poems, then created presentations of their poetry, and finally recorded themselves reading their own poems. Many skills involved here! Well, they are almost third graders! " )
Way to go!!
As Center School Sightings reporters, anchors, videographers, editors and producers, this class produced 30 episodes this year! A BIG record for CSS. This is due to their creative ideas and the willingness to follow through. As an example, this latest video idea came from Darby - the she videotaped it, edited it and produced the entire thing.
All of the fifth graders are to be commended in their excellent work for their Center School Newsroom!
Center School Sightings Newscast has been busy covering all of the wonderful things happening at Center! Will, a fifth grade student, recently won 2nd place in the Odyssey Writing Contest. Hear his thoughts about being selected.
We also have the annual second grade egg drop! A favorite at Center, second graders design containers to help eggs reach the bottom of the esplanade without breaking.
We welcome our new students from Blueberry Hill School with a fun tour and picnic on the green. All students and teachers had a wonderful time getting to know one another. We are very excited about our new students. Check out the action!! Special thanks to Ella and Nick from our CSS team for the incredible footage and to Mrs. Hutton and all of our Teacher Ambassadors for their wonderful photos! Enjoy!!
