SPRING Has Sprung in First Grade!

The first graders didn't let a little snow and ice get in their way today as they designed beautiful Spring collages using the Pic Collage app on the iPads.  Maybe their pictures will bring warmer weather our way!

Second Graders Rock!

Using mnemonic strategies to remember the types of rocks, second graders created Pic Collages to view.  Then they were able to compare and contrast the types of rocks.  What creativity they demonstrated!  (Click to enlarge collages)

                              

                                  

                              

Thank you LEEF for Making Our Board SMART

Through the generosity of LEEF, the technology integration room was awarded a Smart Board, which is an interactive whiteboard that uses touch detection to make lessons even more engaging for the students, meets every learning style,  and motivates students to stay on-task, participate and learn.

Wacky Weather Wordles

What's a wordle?  It's a word cloud, and in second grade, it's a wacky weather word cloud!  The students researched weather and made a list of as many words as they could find.  Then using their creativity, they made these awesome designs!  Please CLICK on picture to see enlarged photos.
