Watch Me Read!
Mrs. Fritz and Mrs. Bocchino are songwriting geniuses! In a parody of the song, "Watch Me" (Whip Nae Nae), students in grades K-5 teach us all the reading strategies they've learned this year! This is a don't want to miss it, incredible video!! Enjoy!!

Have you heard what all the BUZZ is about?
Bee-Bots are programmable robots used for teaching control, directional language and programming to young children. At the same time, the Bee-Bot mats tie into the curriculum reinforcing any skills the teachers deems necessary. In all, there's a whole lot of learning going on! Buzzzzzz!!

Read to Care Rally! CSS - Episode 16
The Read to Care program was incredibly successful! Today we celebrated our goodwill toward others with "Honorary Peacebuilders," Senator Eric Lesser, Michael Squindo of the Longmeadow Open Pantry, our Superintendent Marie Doyle, as well as police officers from the Longmeadow, Springfield and Easthampton Police Departments.

The Water Cycle Movies by First Grade!
Follow the steps of the water cycle with the first graders as they use green screen technology to make it come alive. What an excellent job they did learning their lines, reciting the lines together, and showing enthusiasm in their voices! They can tell you all about the water cycle now!

Third Graders - 72 Website Designers!
Our third graders are super talented! After researching facts about the seven continents, students learned how to make Google sites, including creating the site, choosing a theme, formatting text, adding video and games.
These sites will be used to teach the second graders about continents during their Social Studies unit!

Read to Care! CSS - Episode 15
In the Read of Care program, students read to get sponsors. When they read a set amount, the sponsor donates a care bag, which is then donated to a homeless shelter. The "Share to Care" book swap gave students a chance to add to their collection! Learn about it all in our Center School Sightings Episode!
Just after week one, students have read enough to donate 40 child care bags, 40 male care bags, 55 female care bags and 205 dental care bags!! Keep reading Center students - you have until Friday, February 26th to read and get as many care bags as you can!

First Grade Book Talks - WOW!!
In their study of the non-fiction genre, first graders made book talk commercials about a book they had read and enjoyed. The time and effort they put into writing their scripts and practicing their lines was tremendous. A special thank you to Mrs. Bombardier, Mrs. Kadis, and Mrs. Salvatore for all the work they did on this project in class! Same to the first grade parents for their support at home!
