First Grade Authors - Beautiful Butterfly Books!

As the first graders studied butterflies, they used the iPad app, Butterfly HD, to read about the stages of a butterfly's life cycle, view pictures, learn fun facts and even take "pop quizzes."
Next, we discusses what the students had learned in their classrooms and through the iPad app in technology.  We recorded our facts in the iPad app, Book Creator.
Finally, using the Flipsnack website, we posted them here as books for you to flip through.  Amazing job first graders!

~ Click to read - it goes full screen!  Be sure to turn on volume at the top for "flip" sounds! ~

Third Grade Studies Johnny Appleseed!

The third graders spent time researching the legend of Johnny Appleseed through video and wrote lists of nouns and adjectives about the John Chapman in conjunction with the third grade social studies unit.  Then using Tagexdo, a combined list was used to create apple word clouds.  Terrific job third graders!

Welcome to the 2015-2016 School Year! Kindergarteners are Unique!

Our first graders read the book, Elmer and Rose by David McKee, which taught us about the meaning of the word unique.  Students then took to their iPads using the app Scribble Press to draw three things that made them unique and to photograph their unique selves!  We love our first graders!
