First Graders Leaf Snap Adventure!
The first graders have been studying leaves in science class and so we took a nature walk to collect different kinds of leaves. Then using the Leaf Snap app, they found out all about the trees from which their leaves came. It was amazing to see them using this technology and the excitement of what they found. Impressive first graders!

Center School Sightings - Episode 7
A group of third grade families, who went by the name of "Yard Crashers" set out to clean up and beautify the area outside the third grade classrooms. What an incredible job they did! One of the students, Alex, created a video of the "before" and "after" that is a MUST see. Our CSS reporter and videographer were there to learn more about this enormous project!!

First Grade Gets Ready for Fall!
Fall is in the air, as shown by these first grade pic collages! Students learned about the season of fall and using a list of words with the Pic Collage app, created these beautiful posters representing the season! Enjoy!

Double the Fun!! TWO Center School Sightings Episodes!
The fifth graders are exceeding all expectations with their outstanding creations of CSS episodes!
In episode 5, the fifth graders in Mrs. Quinn's class share incredible science presentations they created under their teacher's guidance, focusing in depth on the following topics: constellations, shadows, day and night, and seasons.
At the same time, they created their very own CSS episode on the presentations! Absolutely amazing!! Special thank you to Mrs. Quinn, John, Parker, Ryan and Julia!

Our Next Episode of Center School Sightings!
Our second episode of the day is of the first graders in Mrs. Bombardier's class, who reviewed the lifecycle of a butterfly and then had their releasing ceremony. The butterflies had other ideas, however, the students were able to learn even more in the process.

Center School Sightings - Episode 4
Featuring the Helping Hands program, Center School Sightings was live on the scene for the fifth graders' turn making sandwiches to feed those in need. This is a terrific service program for our students, that parent Amy Nedwed brought to our school. Tune in to see Peace Builders in action!!

Fourth Grade Creates Name That State Gameshow!
The fourth graders are studying the New England states in social studies class and created this awesome game from start to finish: researched the states, wrote their scripts, rehearsed and performed. It also gave them practice projecting their voices, talking slowly, enunciating and adding expression - great public speaking practice! Enjoy the beautiful scenery from our area!

Third Grade Goes Green (Screen)!
In their study of the science unit on the lifecycle of an apple tree, the third graders created green screen iMovies to describe the process from seeds to trees to pollination to the continuation of the next apple tree. Well done third graders! You worked hard on projecting your voices, speaking slowly, enunciating words and adding enthusiasm! Great practice for public speaking!

Second Grade Audio QR Books!
The second graders have been learning all about the lifecycle of a butterfly in science class. For this project, they researched and took notes on the four stages. Then using http://vocaroo.com, the students recorded their own voices to tell you all about what they learned! Excellent job 2nd grade!
